Phoenix, AZ. – Three people were injured following a head-on collision on Thursday morning in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident occurred at about 2:45 a.m. on June 11, at 79th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
Police said a pickup truck and a sedan were involved in the crash.
A woman was freed from the truck.
The woman and two men were hospitalized with critical non-life threatening injuries.
Police believed alcohol played a role in the collision.
Van Buren Street was closed in both directions west of 79th Avenue following the accident. Drivers were asked to use alternate routes.
The incident remains under investigation.
