Deputies said a woman was struck by a train in unclear circumstances.

West Phoenix, AZ. – A woman was severely injured following a train accident Saturday last week in West Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident occurred a while after 9:00 a.m. on April 25 near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Deputies said a woman was struck by a train in unclear circumstances.
The woman was rushed to the hospital with critical life-threatening injuries. She was listed in a critical condition.
The train was blocking 27th Avenue, south of the junction and Thomas Road, west of the intersection. The lanes north of the junction remained open.
An investigation is ongoing.
