Police said a 21-year-old woman was heading eastbound on Honeycutt Road when she drove into the westbound lanes and crashed into another car operated by a 38-year-old woman.

Maricopa, AZ. – A woman was killed and two others sustained severe injuries following a head-on collision on Tuesday night in Maricopa, according to the Maricopa Police Department.
The accident occurred a while before 10:00 p.m. on April 28, near Honeycutt Road and White Road.
Police said a 21-year-old woman was heading eastbound on Honeycutt Road when she drove into the westbound lanes and crashed into another car operated by a 38-year-old woman.
The 38-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital where she died.
The 21-year-old driver was transported to the hospital where she was listed in a stable condition. Her 20-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital in a critical condition.
Police believed that drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
No one has been arrested.
The incident remains under investigation.
