Las Vegas, NV. – A 30-year-old woman was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive at around 9:35 p.m.
A 2021 GMC Sierra pickup truck was southbound on Torres Pines when it failed to yield and struck a woman trying to cross Lake Mead in a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian was taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries.
The 27-year-old driver fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
