Troopers said a 43-year-old Ferndale man was heading northbound on Interstate 5 in a Mercedes SUV when he exited on the off-ramp to the transit station and hit a wall. The car burst into flames following the accident.

Mountlake Terrace, WA. – A driver was killed after a fiery collision on Tuesday morning in Mountlake Terrace, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The accident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on April 21, on Interstate 5 at 236th St SW.
Troopers said a 43-year-old Ferndale man was heading northbound on Interstate 5 in a Mercedes SUV when he exited on the off-ramp to the transit station and hit a wall. The car burst into flames following the accident.
The man was killed in the crash.
The northbound I-5 ramp to the transit station at 236th Street was closed to give way to an on-scene investigation.
It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident.
