Las Vegas, NV. – An officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was injured in a crash on Thursday morning in Las Vegas.
According to the LVMPD, the accident happened near Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road at around 12:56 a.m.
The officer was conducting a traffic stop when an unrelated vehicle traveling eastbound on Sahara struck the patrol unit.
The officer was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver is being investigated for DUI.
