Tampa Motorcyclist Killed in Motorcycle Accident on County Line Road and Maximilian Drive in Tampa

Police said the man was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on County Line Road at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a Hyundai van, operated by a 41-year-old Land O’Lakes man, was heading northbound on Maximilian Drive. The van turned left into the path of the approaching motorcycle and the two crashed.

Tampa, FL. – A 24-year-old Tampa man was killed after a traffic collision on Tuesday night at an intersection in Wesley Chapel, according to the Wesley Chapel Police Department.

The accident happened at about 9:20 p.m. on April 21, at the County Line Road and Maximilian Drive intersection.

Police said the man was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on County Line Road at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a Hyundai van, operated by a 41-year-old Land O’Lakes man, was heading northbound on Maximilian Drive. The van turned left into the path of the approaching motorcycle and the two crashed.

The rider and the van driver were transported to a local hospital. The rider succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The van driver sustained injuries, but their current condition was not provided.

An investigation is underway.
