Troopers said a Toyota Corolla and a semi-truck crashed in the northbound lanes. The Toyota was heading southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with the semi-truck.

Brevard County, FL. – Two persons were injured following a wrong-way collision on Sunday morning in Titusville, Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred a while before 2:00 a.m. January 11, on northbound I-95 in Titusville.

Troopers said a Toyota Corolla and a semi-truck crashed in the northbound lanes. The Toyota was heading southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with the semi-truck.

The Toyota drove into the northbound lanes before hitting a guardrail and coming to a halt on the side of the roadway. The semi-truck veered off the roadway onto the grassy shoulder after the initial collision.

The 32-year-old driver was found in the nearby bushes. The driver and his 23-year-old passenger were transported to the hospital with severe injuries.

The semi driver was not injured in the collision.

Charges against the Toyota driver were pending.

An investigation is underway.
