Clackamas County, OR. – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Clackamas County on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Oregon State Police, the crash occurred around 1:00 p.m. near milepost 35 on Highway 26.
Investigators said a westbound Ford Escape, driven by a Vancouver man, was trying to pass a Ford F-250 operated by a Prineville man.
During the maneuver, the F-250 merged into the Escape, causing the vehicles to collide.
The impact caused the Ford F-250 to crash through a guardrail and roll down an embankment.

The driver of the Ford Escape and a passenger were not injured.
The Oregon State Police is investigating the accident and was assisted at the scene by the Hoodland Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
