Bloomington, IL. – A 40-year-old man from Bloomington was killed after a motorcycle accident on Wednesday afternoon in Bloomington.
According to the Bloomington Police Department, the accident occurred near the intersection of East Oakland Avenue and Old Farm Road at about 3:12 p.m. on January 7th.
Police said a motorcycle and an SUV crashed in unclear circumstances. An off-duty police officer and a passerby aided the injured rider until authorities arrived.
The rider was declared dead at the hospital.
An autopsy is pending.
An investigation by the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team, and the McLean County coroner’s office is ongoing.
