Ogle County, IL. – An Ogle man was killed and another injured after a traffic collision on Monday afternoon in rural Dixon, Ogle County.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at about 1:00 p.m. on December 29 in the 7000 block of S. Ridge Road.
Deputies said a Chrysler Town and County and a Ford F450 box truck crashed. The Chrysler crossed the center line and crashed into the box truck heading northbound.
A 32-year-old man from Oregon was killed in the collision.
The box truck driver, a 22-year-old Dixon man, was treated at the crash site. He later sought treatment for minor injuries.
A 22-year-old box truck passenger was not injured in the accident.
An investigation by the Dixon Fire Department and Dixon Rural Fire Protection District is underway.
