Volusia County, FL. – Two people were severely hurt following a traffic collision on Tuesday morning in Volusia County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on I-95 northbound before mile marker 268, near State Road 40 .

Two persons sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Daytona Halifax Hospital for treatment.
As the Volusia County EMS were responding to the crash, they were hit from behind causing a chain-reaction collision. Three persons were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The two EMS medical personnel were not hurt and stayed at the crash site.
An investigation is underway.
