Deputies said two vehicles crashed for reasons yet to be determined. One of the cars was found on the roadway while the other was found in a ditch and entangled in utility pole wire. The occupants in both vehicles were out of the cars before the first responders arrived.

Marengo, IL. – Five people were injured following a vehicle accident on Sunday morning in Marengo, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at the N. Route 23 and River Road intersection at about 10:19 a.m. on December 28.
Deputies said two vehicles crashed for reasons yet to be determined. One of the vehicles was found on the roadway while the other was found in a ditch and entangled in utility pole wire. The occupants in both vehicles were out of the cars before the first responders arrived.
All the five adults were evaluated and transported to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
No additional information concerning this crash was released.
The incident remains under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
