Aloha, OR. – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Monday night in Aloha, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal accident happened near the intersection of SW Tualatin Valley Highway and SW 198th Avenue at around 8:41 p.m. on December 22.

Investigators said a 41-year-old Portland man was attempting to cross Tualatin Valley Highway when he was struck by a passing vehicle.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with deputies.

Authorities reported that impairment is not believed to be a factor in the pedestrian accident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
