Indianapolis, IN. – Three children were injured in a hit-and-run accident on Monday afternoon in Indianapolis.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened around 3:49 p.m. near the intersection of Madison Avenue and East Stop 10 Road.

Officers responded to the scene of a two-car crash, but the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately determined.

There were three young children in a car at the time of the crash, one of whom was ejected from the car.

All three were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The second car fled the scene after the crash and was yet to be located.
