Lafayette, IN. – One person died in a car crash on Thursday afternoon in Lafayette.
According to the Lafayette Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of South 28th Street and Main Street around 5:15 p.m.
A 41-year-old man driving a truck at a high speed veered off the road and struck a utility pole, a retaining wall, and a tree.
The driver of the truck was extricated from the vehicle after he was trapped inside.
The man was rushed to the Franciscan East Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
