The driver of the Chrysler, identified as a 79-year-old Bend man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deschutes County, OR. – One person was killed in a four-vehicle collision in Deschutes County on Tuesday evening, according to Oregon State Police.
The crash occurred on Highway 97 near milepost 127 at around 5:34 p.m. on December 16.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a southbound Chrysler Pacifica crossed into the northbound lanes for unknown reasons, sideswiping a northbound Land Rover Range Rover and a Chevrolet Tahoe before it collided head-on with a northbound Freightliner commercial truck and trailer.

The drivers of the Land Rover, Chevrolet, and Freightliner were uninjured.
Oregon State Police are investigating the accident.
