Mesa, AZ. – A man was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Mesa on Sunday morning, according to the Mesa Police Department.
The collision happened around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sossaman Road and Drummer Avenue near Broadway Road.
Police said a 23-year-old man was driving a car the wrong way when he collided head-on with another vehicle driven by a 19-year-old man.
The 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The 23-year-old was believed to have been impaired at the time of the accident.
The collision remains under investigation.
