Tamiami, FL. – A man was killed after a pedestrian accident on Saturday near Tamiami in Southwest Miami-Dade.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on December 13, on Florida’s Turnpike in the area of Southwest 8th Street.
Troopers said the man was attempting to cross the roadway when he was hit by an oncoming tractor-trailer.
The man was killed in the collision.
Troopers closed four lanes to give way to an on-scene investigation. The lanes have since reopened.
The FHP officials did not say whether anyone was arrested in connection with the collision.
An investigation is underway.
