Police said seven cars including five commercial cars and two passenger vehicles collided in unclear circumstances.

Coles County, IL. – A 43-year-old man was killed after a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday morning in Coles County, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident happened at 10:00 a.m. on December 13, on southbound I-57.
Police said seven cars including five commercial cars and two passenger vehicles collided in unclear circumstances.
The man was declared dead at the crash site.
Following the collision, I-57 southbound was closed at milepost 203 and traffic diverted off the freeway at Exit 203. All lanes reopened at about 5:35 p.m.
Further details regarding this collision were not released.
An investigation is underway.
