Indianapolis, IN. – One person was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Thursday morning in Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 8:12 a.m. in the area of N Lynhurst Drive and W Vermont Street.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a Mustang was engaged in a street race with a white car when the Mustang crashed into a pickup truck.
The man driving the pickup truck was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Mustang exited the vehicle and walked over to the white car and sped away. They were later located and arrested.
