The Freightliner driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries

Douglas County, OR. – A man was killed, and another was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Tuesday evening in Douglas County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The fatal collision happened around 5:20 p.m. on Highway 38 near milepost 22.
Police said a 48-year-old Elkton man was driving a Buick Enclave eastbound when he crossed into the westbound lane and crashed into a westbound Freightliner commercial motor vehicle and trailer driven by a 65-year-old man from Vancouver, WA.
The impact caused the Enclave to spin and was hit by a westbound Buick LaCrosse driven by a 53-year-old Elkton man, causing it to roll onto its side.
The driver of the Enclave was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Freightliner driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
