Las Vegas, NV. – One person was killed in a car crash on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of East St. Louis Avenue and South 6th Street at around 9 p.m.

An eastbound 2014 Mercedes-Benz on East St. Louis Avenue was travelling at high speed when it collided with a 2016 Ford Flex that was travelling south on 6th Street.

The impact of the collision caused the Mercedes-Benz to strike a pole, and the Ford to strike a fence.

The 46-year-old driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Mercedes sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the local hospital.

The driver of the Mercedes was suspected of being impaired and was booked for reckless driving and DUI-related charges.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
