Police said a woman attempted to turn left onto Enviroway from eastbound Route 143 in her small passenger vehicle. The car then crashed into a white pickup truck heading westbound in the slow lane also operated by a woman.
Wood River, IL. – One driver was critically injured after a traffic collision on Wednesday morning in Wood River, according to the Wood River Police Department.
The collision happened a while before 8:48 a.m. on December 3, on Illinois Route 143 near Enviroway.
Police said a woman attempted to turn left onto Enviroway from eastbound Route 143 in her small passenger vehicle. The car then crashed into a white pickup truck heading westbound in the slow lane also operated by a woman.
The driver in the small vehicle was critically hurt and was flown to a hospital in St. Louis.
