Gilbert, AZ. – A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured after an e-bike accident on Saturday afternoon in Gilbert, according to local police.

The collision occurred around 1 p.m. on November 29, near the intersection of Val Vista Drive and Guadalupe Road.

Police say the boy had been riding an e-bike when the crash happened, leaving him with serious injuries.

Emergency personnel treated him at the scene before transporting him to a hospital.

No other injuries or arrests were reported.

The incident came less than 24 hours after another child on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle about four miles away near Val Vista Drive and Williams Field Road on Friday afternoon. That child was treated at the scene and did not suffer serious injuries.

The Saturday crash remains under investigation.
