21-Year-Old Pregnant Woman’s Unborn Child Killed in Crash on Highway 29 in Cantonment

Troopers said a 21-year-old Cantonment woman was driving a pickup truck north on Highway 29 towards Neal Road while a 17-year-old Molino male was heading south on Highway 29 and heading towards Neal Road. The teen driver tried to turn left onto Neal Road and the two pickup trucks crashed.

Pregnant Woman Injured, Unborn Child Killed in Crash on Highway 29 in Cantonment

Cantonment, FL. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly collision that killed an unborn child and left the mother with injuries early Sunday morning in Cantonment, Escambia County.

The accident happened at about 1:00 a.m. on November 30, on Highway 29 and Neal Road.

Troopers said a 21-year-old Cantonment woman was driving a pickup truck north on Highway 29 towards Neal Road while a 17-year-old Molino male was heading south on Highway 29 and heading towards Neal Road. The teen driver tried to turn left onto Neal Road and the two pickup trucks crashed. 

The two drivers were taken to the hospital with severe injuries. 

A passenger in the woman’s truck, identified as a 21-year-old man from Magnolia, Texas, sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized.

The Cantonment woman’s unborn child was killed in the accident.

No charges have been filed against the teen driver.

An investigation is ongoing.
