Venice, FL. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic collision that killed a driver on Thanksgiving Day near Venice.
The accident happened at around 2:00 p.m. on I-75 near the River Road exit.
According to the FHP officials, the car was heading north on I-75 when the vehicle left the roadway and onto the grass shoulder and crashed into a bridge pillar for South Moon Pass.
The vehicle caught fire following the accident.
The driver was declared dead at the accident scene.
