Responding officers and Portland Fire & Rescue arrived to find the woman critically injured

Portland, OR. – An 87-year-old Portland woman was killed in an early Wednesday morning pedestrian accident in the city’s Richmond neighborhood.
According to Portland police, the fatal collision occurred around 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of Southeast Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and Southeast Harrison Street.
Responding officers and Portland Fire & Rescue arrived to find the woman critically injured.
The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The accident remains under investigation.
