Richland, WA. – One person was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Richland on Monday morning, according to local police.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Lee Boulevard and Chestnut Avenue at around 8 a.m.
According to investigators, a driver attempting to make a left turn from Lee Boulevard onto Chestnut Avenue struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
Responding officers and medics found the pedestrian with significant injuries.
The victim was transported to Kadlec Medical Center, where they remain in critical condition.
Police reported that the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, and there were no indications that drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
