Cheney, WA. – One person was killed, and another was injured after two vehicles collided near Cheney on Tuesday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred on State Route 904 at around 9:30 a.m.
A 2001 Ford Focus was traveling west when it crossed over the center line and collided with an eastbound 2018 Honda HR-V.
The 47-year-old driver of the Ford Focus died at the scene.
The driver of the Honda, an 84-year-old man, was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Police said the driver who died was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
