The man was underneath it and was not able to get out of the way before the front end of the vehicle also fell off the lift and it crushed him.
Wauconda, FL. – A 37-year-old man was killed after a traffic collision on Tuesday morning in Wauconda, according to Illinois State Police.
The accident happened a while before 9:00 a.m. on November 25, at Hard Times repair shop at 398 W. Liberty St.
Police said a vehicle was raised about five feet on a lift when the car’s rear end fell off the lift. The man was underneath it and was not able to get out of the way before the front end of the vehicle also fell off the lift and it crushed him.
The Wauconda firefighters lifted the car off the man. He was declared dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
