Martin County, FL. – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Martin County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 12:42 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 714 and SW Allapattah Road.
A 67-year-old man from Port St. Lucie was riding a 2021 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle southbound on SW Allapattah Road when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign and was struck by an eastbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck operated by a 65-year-old man from Okeechobee.
The motorcyclist was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital for treatment.
