Tampa, FL. – A 21-year-old Riverview man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening in Tampa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of US 41 and 16th Avenue South at around 6 p.m.
A Volvo tractor-trailer driven by a 55-year-old man from Wesley Chapel was traveling southbound on U.S. 41 when the driver attempted to make a left turn at the intersection and struck a Honda motorcycle operated by a 21-year-old Riverview man.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The condition of the semi-truck driver was not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
