Prineville, OR. – Two people were injured in a single-vehicle collision in Prineville on Wednesday night, according to the Crook County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened around 7:40 p.m. on SE Juniper Canyon Road near milepost 7.

Deputies said a male driver was driving a white Oldsmobile southbound on Juniper Canyon when he allowed the car to cross into the northbound lane. He then skidded back into the southbound lane and left the roadway.

The vehicle drove down an embankment and rolled over.

Crook County Fire & Rescue medics responded to the scene and treated the driver, who had minor injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed that speed and inattentiveness were factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
