Las Vegas, NV. – An 11-year-old girl was injured after being struck by a car on Monday afternoon in Las Vegas.
According to local police, the accident occurred on Lake Mead Boulevard east of Peaceful Spirit Lane at around 4:38 p.m.
The 11-year-old girl was crossing Lake Mead when she was struck by a 2019 Nissan Rogue travelling east.
The minor sustained serious injuries and was taken to the University Medical Center for treatment.
The Nissan driver was uninjured and stayed at the scene, cooperating with the police.
The driver did not show signs of impairment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
