Miramar, FL. – Two people were injured in a crash involving a dump truck on Thursday morning in Miramar.
According to authorities, the accident happened on Florida’s Turnpike near University Drive at around 8:30 a.m.
A dump truck struck a utility pole before crashing into a concrete wall.
The cab was wrecked from the impact, and its engine was hurled over to the concrete barrier and hit a car in the northbound lanes.
The truck driver was pulled out of the wreckage and taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition.
The other driver was taken to the same hospital with unknown injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
