Volusia County, FL. – A 28-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday morning in Volusia County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 95 near mile marker 234.
A semi-truck was travelling in the outer lane when it struck a 28-year-old Jacksonville man who was standing on the outside shoulder of the road repairing a 2011 tractor-trailer.
The man was critically injured and was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center for treatment.
The semi-truck that hit the man did not stop at the scene and was yet to be located.
