A 63-year-old Englewood woman in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nokomis, FL. – A 63-year-old woman was killed in a car crash that left another injured on Thursday afternoon in Nokomis.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. at U.S. 41 and Colonia Lane.
A pickup truck was traveling south on U.S. 41 when it crashed into a northbound Cadillac sedan that was attempting to make a left turn at the intersection.
The sedan driver, an 81-year-old woman, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
A 63-year-old Englewood woman in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
