According to the Indiana State Police, the accident happened around 4 a.m. on Interstate 65 near mile marker 197.

A 2020 Hino ox truck was travelling southbound in the left lane when it drove into the right lane and struck a 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer traveling in the same direction.

The two vehicles came to a stop on the road shoulder.

A passenger in the box truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
