The officer and the driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old Winter Haven man, were seriously injured
Winter Haven, FL. – A police officer was injured in a car accident early Sunday morning in Winter Haven.
According to local police, the accident happened around 2 a.m. on Cypress Gardens Boulevard at 1st Street South.
The officer was responding to a call of service and was driving a Tahoe eastbound on Cypress Gardens when he collided with a Honda traveling south on 1st St. S at a high rate of speed.
The officer and the driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old Winter Haven man, were seriously injured and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
