Tucson, AZ. – A third University of Arizona student has died following a hit-and-run accident on Thursday night in Tucson, according to Tucson police.
The fatal crash occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on October 30, at East Second Street near Euclid Avenue.
Two students died at the scene, while another was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner confirmed that the third student died at the hospital.
The Porsche driver, a 19-year-old student at the university, fled the scene after the accident. He was later arrested and determined to have been impaired at the time of the accident.
He is facing two counts of second-degree murder, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of leaving the scene of a collision involving a fatality.
