Speed and impairment are suspected to have played a role in the incident

Jackson County, OR. – Two teens were killed in a suspected DUI accident in Jackson County on Saturday, according to the Oregon State Police.
The crash happened in the 9600 block of Highway 140 near milepost 9.
A 17-year-old Eagle Point teen was driving a Ford F-350 on the highway when he lost control and crashed through the guardrail.
The truck then overturned and landed in a creek.
The driver and an 18-year-old passenger were not wearing their seatbelts.
The two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other 17-year-old passengers were rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
Speed and impairment are suspected to have played a role in the incident.
Authorities said the victims of the crash were Students at Eagle Point School District 9.
OSP is investigating the accident.
