Tucson, AZ. – Two University of Arizona students were killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that left another student seriously injured on Thursday in Tucson, according to the police.

The fatal accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. in the area of 2nd Street and Euclid.

Police said the three students were in a crosswalk when they were struck by a 2019 Porsche Boxster that was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Two of the victims, a 21-year-old and a 22-year-old, were killed in the accident.

The third victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Porsche driver, a 19-year-old student at the university, fled the scene after the accident. He was later arrested and determined to have been impaired at the time of the accident.

He is facing two counts of second-degree murder, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of leaving the scene of a collision involving a fatality.

Police are investigating the accident.
