Washington, District of Columbia — October 9, 2025: Authorities identified Marco Alexander Moore, age 45, as the man shot and killed by officers during a warrant service at a residence near the 1400 block of Girard Street NW.
According to police, officers arrived to arrest Moore in connection with a prior homicide investigation. After officers forcibly entered the home, authorities allege that Moore was armed with a gun and pointed the firearm toward officers, prompting police to open fire and fatally shoot him. The reported cause of death is gunshot. No fleeing was reported. The investigation remains listed as Pending Investigation.
