Yuma, AZ. – Four people were injured early Sunday morning in a single-car accident in Yuma, according to the authorities.
The accident was reported around 2:14 a.m. on October 26 at the intersection of Avenue B and 16th Street.
Authorities said a white Dodge Challenger crashed into a traffic light pole in the southwest corner of the intersection.
The driver of the Challenger, a 22-year-old man, the front-seat passenger, a 25-year-old man, and two rear-seat passengers, a 24-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman, were taken to Onvida Health for treatment. The 25-year-old was later airlifted to a Phoenix hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver was treated and taken into custody. He was booked on multiple charges, including driving under the influence, reckless driving and endangerment.
The police are investigating the accident.
