Tukwila, WA. – A 24-year-old Seattle man was killed and two other people were injured in a rollover accident on Friday night in Tukwila, according to the WSP.

The fatal accident happened on the northbound SR 599 near Interurban Avenue.

WSP said a black 2002 Honda Civic was traveling northbound when it lost control, struck the left shoulder barrier and rolled over several times.

Two passengers were ejected. One of the passengers, the 24-year-old Seattle man, landed in the roadway and was hit by another vehicle.

The second vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The Seattle man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The second passenger, a 24-year-old Burien man, was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt.

A third person also sustained injuries in the collision. They were wearing their seatbelt.

Speed was a factor in the accident. Alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the accident.

The collision closed the northbound ramp from I-5 to northbound SR 599 for several hours.

The WSP is investigating the accident.
