Pima County, AZ. – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Pima County on Friday afternoon, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
The fatal collision happened around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of East River Road and North Craycroft Road.
PCSD said a man was driving a dump truck southbound on Craycroft Road on a green light while a 35-year-old woman was driving a sedan northbound.
The woman made an improper left turn, failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the intersection, and the sedan was struck by the dump truck.
The impact pushed the dump truck into a large drainage embankment.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details were provided.
The collision remains under investigation.
