New Smyrna Beach, FL. – A 31-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday evening in New Smyrna Beach.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Art Center Avenue.
A 31-year-old New Smyrna Beach man was riding a motorcycle southbound on U.S. 1 when he crashed into a 2023 BMW X3 SUV that was making a left turn.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 21-year-old driver of the BMW was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
