Elko County, NV. – One person is dead following a rollover crash that occurred last Monday near Montello in Elko County.
The fatal collision happened on SR 233 near mile marker 25 at around 2:30 p.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
A Chevy truck was southbound on SR 233 when it went off the roadway, prompting the driver to overcorrect. The maneuver caused the truck to spin off the left side of the road and roll.
Both the driver and his passenger were ejected from the truck.
The passenger was transported to a local hospital, where he died a few days later.
The driver was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
