Phoenix, AZ. – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident in Phoenix on Monday night, police said.
The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on October 20, on McDowell Road near 51st Avenue.
A 49-year-old man was crossing McDowell Road midblock when he was hit by a westbound pickup truck.
Responding fire crews rushed the victim to the hospital, where he later succumbed.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Police believe impairment was not a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
